Driver & License Requirements
When you pick up your vehicle you will need to present the following:
- Passport or National ID card
- Driving license
- Credit card
Please be advised that the minimum age requirement for renting a car in the Seychelles is 21 years.
Accepted Forms of Payment
The following forms of payments are accepted upon delivery of the vehicle:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- American Express
- Cash EUR, USD, GBP & SCR
Security Deposit
No security deposit is required.
Pre-authorisation
No pre-authorisation of a credit card is required.
Damage Excess
In the event of an accident causing damage to the car, the maximum you will pay towards repairs covered by Islax Cars’ collision damage waiver is €2000, provided you adhere to the terms of the rental agreement.
This damage excess can be reduced as follows:
Damage Excess reduced to €1000 for an additional €10.00 per day
Damage Excess reduced to €500 for an additional €20.00 per day
Charges for Delivery & Pick Up
Airport: No fee
Port: No fee
Hotels: No fee
Cleaning Fees
If the vehicle is returned excessively untidy, including but not limited to sand, dirt, or litter, Islax Cars reserves the right to charge €30 for the service of cleaning the vehicle to its original state.
Optional Extras
Baby seats can be provided upon request free of charge.
Fuel Policy
When returning the car, the fuel level should match the amount present at the time of the pick up. Vehicles provided by Islax Cars will always have at a minimum a 1/4 full tank upon delivery.
Minimum Rental Days
The minimum rental period is 3 days except for returning clients coming from another island, in which case the minimum rental period is 1 day.
Additional Driver
An additional driver can be added to the rental policy upon request if a valid drivers license is provided of the additional driver. No further charge will be applied for adding an additional driver.
